Spring is Here and so is Mary Jane's Cooking School
Annual Garden Party Fundraiser!

Saturday, May 28, 2022   10am to 3pm

Mary Jane’s Cooking School will be holding its 12th annual Garden Party fundraiser on Saturday, May 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the back lane of 252 Arlington Street.

We’ve had a two year lapse since our last Garden Party due to Covid restrictions but are looking forward to welcoming back many familiar faces. This year’s event, though pared down from previous years, will again offer great vegetarian fare from Mary Jane’s kitchen as well as a broad variety of heirloom bedding plants for the yard and garden, herbs, prairie wildflowers and grasses from Prairie Flora and more from Sweet Earth Gardens and Greenhouses.

As well, we will have available for sale some local products - all-natural unpasteurized honey from Darryl Wright’s apiary, golden flax from DeRuyck’s Top of the Hill farm, Nature’s Cargo Himalayan Salt and wholesome baked goods.

Our yearly Garden Party fundraiser brings together members of the community to share in the growing awareness and importance of good nutrition for best health and caring for our environment and one another! Come and enjoy good food and pick up bedding plants for your garden!

We gratefully acknowledge the support for our programs from The Winnipeg Foundation

Celebrate Spring with Mary Jane's Cooking School
Annual Garden Party Fundraiser!

Sunday, May 30, 2021   10am to 4pm

Spring is a wonderful time of year when everything blooms and we are planting the seeds for another successful year at Mary Jane's Cooking School! Mary Jane’s Cooking School, will be having its annual Garden Party fundraiser Sunday, May 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (instead of the original date of May 29) in the back lane and yard of 252 Arlington Street, as it has done for the last 10 years.

This year due to existing protocols we encourage people to pre-order food from a selection of three types of vegan Buddha Bowls. For details, please go to our Facebook page . We also plan to have food available for walk-ins.

Bedding plants will be available from Sweet Earth Gardens & Greenhouse for purchase on site and pre-orders from Prairie Flora that can be picked up on May 30 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Their list of bedding plants, specializing in heirloom vegetables, annual flowers and herbs as well as native prairie wildflowers and grasses, can be found on their website www.prairieflora.com. They will also have a limited supply of bedding plants for sale on site.

We will be selling some of our healthful products— all-natural Manitoba (grown) Honey, Himalayan Sea Salt, flax and wholesome baked goods.

Proceeds from our Garden Party Fundraiser will help support future community programming at the school. Come and enjoy good food and pick up bedding plants for your garden!

*We ask that people follow social distancing as mandated by present protocols.

We hope you will support this wonderful community event. Proceeds from the garden party will help with operational expenses and future programming planned for this summer and fall.
