Pumpkins are an amazing vegetable full of nutrition and culinary possibilities. In this workshop participants will explore the uses for pumpkins and utilize organic pumpkins to make soups, scones and a vegetable dish to take home.

SAUERKRAUT SATURDAY

Date: Saturday, November 26, 2022

Time: 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Cost: $60.00 (including sealers)

Fermented vegetables are full of flavour and health giving probiotics. Participants
will learn the techniques of preparing a variety of sauerkraut using red and green
cabbages, beets and carrots to take home.

Christmas Tree Cookies

CHRISTMAS BAKE DOWN

Workshop

Date: December 3, 2022

Time: 1:00 -5:00 pm

Start the Xmas season by doing some batch baking. With recipes provided, participants will choose two selections from a list of baked cookies, bars and squares to prepare. The baked items will be shared among the participants so that everyone has an equal variety of baking to take home. Bring your own containers or cookie tins.

Learn the basics of nutritious vegan/vegetarian cooking. Prepare satisfying and delicious meals with colourful fall vegetables accented by nuts and seeds and a grain-based accompaniment.

6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

These classes will focus on kid-friendly meals that children will prepare to take home. Suggested ages: 8 -12 years.
Light lunch will be served.
